The company was established in 1979 by Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Thwaites and Dennis Daly, both advocates of Human rights. Through their focus on defending human rights and upholding civil law, they sought to protect people who were disadvantaged and needed to regularize ownership of property. Their initial practices were criminal law, civil law and conveyancing. Mr. Daly who was Queen’s counsel; was awarded National Honors of the Order of Jamaica and was President of the Jamaica Bar Association. Mr. Thwaites has served over 50 years on the Jamaica Bar Association and served as Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for over 25 years. The firm is now led by Managing Partner, Mary Thwaites Whittingham who is supported by an experienced staff of 4 attorneys and legal administrators.
